COBRA and FMLA: What You Need to Know
This 2 hour credit course goes over everything you need to know about COBRA and FMLA. The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (“COBRA”) requires sponsors of most group health plans to offer employees and their families the opportunity to receive continued health coverage after termination of employee. The Family Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”) entitles eligible employees of covered employers to take unpaid, job-protected leave for specified family and medical reasons with continuation of group health insurance coverage under the same terms and conditions as if the employee had not taken leave.
